Use this page to Add a Complex Rule.

To access this page:

  1. Select dspMigrate in the Navigation pane.
  2. Select Design in the Context bar.
  3. Select Target Rules > Complex Rules in the Navigation pane.

Field

Description

NAME

Displays the unique name of the Complex rule to be documented.

Complex rules provide information that the Data Services developer uses when writing the rule. When an AutoGen request is processed, a placeholder where Complex rules can be developed is created.

DESCRIPTION

Displays a brief description of the Complex rule to be documented.

ACTIVE

If checked, the Complex rule is active and can be assigned to active Target fields.

RULE DEFINED

If checked, a rule definition has been added on the Rules: Complex Rules page's Vertical View.

Name

Rule Type

Displays the type of rule that is being documented. Values are BODS function, SQL function, Stored Procedure.

Displays code, pseudo code or a description of the code to be used in the rule.

Comment

Displays a user-entered comment about the rule, which can include instructions or notes on the rule.
