Establish User-Specific Security Definitions

User Specific Security Definitions allow the definition of data-based access on a user by user level.

If a user needs special access, for example, to a specific record on a page, that does not fall into a role, and does not warrant the creation of a role, then the User Specific Security Definition can be used to define these individual data points for the user.

To add security definitions to a specific user:

  1. Select Security > Security Definitions > User Specific Security Definitions in Navigation pane.
  2. Click Definitions for NAME (i.e., a specific user).
  3. Click Keys for a SECURITY DEFINITION NAME.
  4. Click Add

View the field descriptions for the User Specific Keys page

  5. Select a key from SECURITY DEFINITION KEY ID list box.
  6. Click Save.
