Use this page to Set Up Connection Types.

To access this page:

  1. Select Collect > Administrative > Connection Types in Navigation pane.
  2. Click Sources for SQL SERVER Target Connection Type.
  3. Click Data Type Conversions.

Field

Description

PROCESS ORDER

Displays order that rules are run.

DATA VALIDATE CONTROL

Displays a rule that validates data. This process is used when the Build Package process is run to create the target table.

PROCESS FLAG

Displays a way in which data is processed.

Values are:

  • Accept - Use to load the field into the target table.
  • Error - Use to stop the build process and to display the field as not having a data type conversion issue.
  • Ignore - Use to not create the field in the target table.

DATA TYPE

Displays type of data in the source.

DATA LENGTH

Displays length of data in the source.

NEW DATA TYPE FORMAT

Displays format for new type of data to be defined in target. Includes length or scale.

Field

Process Order

New Data Length

Displays new length of field in target. 

New Data Precision
