Add a Comment to a Task

Enter a comment about a Plan Task on the Vertical View of the Plan Task page or the Vertical View of the Work List. Once saved, comments are visible on either page.

NOTE: Comments can be added at any time. A user may be required to enter a comment Refer to Set Comment Requirements for Tasks for more information.

Once a task is completed on the Work List, the task no longer displays on the Work List. The task still displays on the PlanTask page. Comments about finished tasks can be entered on the Vertical View of this page.

To add a comment to a task on the Plan Task page:

  1. Select Project in Navigation pane.
  2. Click Plans for a project
  3. Click Tasks for a plan.
  4. Click Vertical View for a task.
  5. Click Edit.

    View the field descriptions for the General tab of the Plan Task page’s Vertical View

  6. Enter the comment in the Comment field.
  7. Click Save.

    NOTE: This comment can also be viewed on the Vertical View of the Work List for the task until the task is in a Completed status.

To add a comment to a task on the Work List page:

  1. Click the blue tab on the Quick Panel to access the Work List.
  2. Click Vertical View for a task.
  3. Click Edit.

  4. Enter the comment in the Comment field.
  5. Click Save.

NOTE:This comment can also be viewed on the Vertical View of the Plan Task page.
